The catch heard 'round the world

Yet another disappointing Cubs season...it was over long before the All-Star break. The only break that we'll remember is Derrek Lee's wrist, which was the point when it all ended for 2006. There's always next year, right? Of course...I've been telling myself that for 33 years now. My grandmother is flying around with the other angels right now, Cubs pennant in hand and a box of Cracker Jacks in the other, smiling down on me telling me it will get better someday. Someday is all we have as fans of the North side. Let's face it...the North side is the only side.

Thanks Steve Bartman. I still think Moises Alou had a legitimate shot at this ball. Then again, a statement like that can be translated as "I would have done anything, sell my soul, say 34632463 Hail Mary's, et cetera, for that ball to be caught"...
